Permanent role

The role

Lead a high‑performing manufacturing site and drive long‑term operational excellence.

This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager to take full ownership of a complex, high‑volume manufacturing facility. You’ll shape the site’s strategic direction, elevate operational performance, and deliver sustainable growth through strong leadership, disciplined execution, and a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

* Owning full P&L, cashflow and ROI performance for the site.
* Leading the development and execution of the annual manufacturing and revenue plan.
* Providing positive, proactive leadership to managers and wider teams, ensuring capability growth and high engagement.
* Ensuring full compliance with EHS standards, driving year‑on‑year improvements and fostering a safe, healthy workplace.
* Maximising customer satisfaction through effective S&OP deployment, on‑time delivery and consistent product quality.
* Driving improvements in OEE, process capability, and operational efficiency.
* Leading cost‑reduction initiatives across all product lines to strengthen profitability.
* Managing inventory effectively to reduce days on hand and support cashflow.
* Acting as a change agent, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and best‑practice sharing.
* Building strong cross‑functional relationships with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and other key stakeholders.
* Supporting customer relationships, resolving issues professionally while protecting business interests.
* Championing lean manufacturing, digitalisation and technology‑enabled improvements.
* Overseeing capital investment planning, including the preparation and justification of capital appropriation requests.
* Ensuring product integrity and compliance with all quality standards, systems and customer specifications.
* Managing all activities involving hazardous materials in line with statutory and internal requirements.
* Leading recruitment, performance management, development, and organisational planning for the site.

What You’ll Bring

Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or a related field.

Experience:

* At least 10 years’ experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
* Minimum 5 years in senior leadership, ideally with site‑level accountability.
* Experience in customer service, supply chain or continuous improvement is advantageous.

Skills & Attributes:

* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and SMART methodologies.
* Proven leadership capability with the ability to inspire, coach and develop teams.
* Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
* Ability to work effectively across all levels — from shop floor to senior leadership.
* Highly organised, able to prioritise and deliver across multiple workstreams with minimal direction.
* A mindset focused on improvement, innovation and operational excellence.

Why This Role Matters

This position is central to shaping the future success of the site. You’ll have the autonomy to set direction, the influence to drive cultural and operational transformation, and the responsibility to deliver meaningful commercial impact. It’s a role for a leader who thrives on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
