An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Department administration team for a Patient Flow coordinator. This post is based at the East Surrey site.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and effective patient flow within the Emergency Department. The concept is designed to free up valuable nursing and medical time to avoid delays, keep within the breach time frames and improve the patient experience.
The Patient Flow coordinator will be expected to work as part of the ED Administration team, under the direction of the Operational Lead and senior team to ensure the smooth flow of patients through the department. You will be working closely with the Majors coordinator, Nurse in Charge, Site team, portering team and wards. It is expected that by coordinating administrative tasks, and liaising with other departments, the post holder will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the ED resulting in a significant reduction in patient journey times.
The post is full time 12.5 hr Shifts which cover 24/7 365 days per year, days & nights.
