Job Title: HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver
Location: Bedford
Salary: £14.73 per hour increasing to £15.39 after 13 weeks (Monday to Friday). Overtime £22.10 per hour increasing to £23.08 after 13 weeks.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start, 37 hours per week
My client, a well respected local authority, is recruiting for HGV Class 2 Dustcart Drivers to join their team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking secure, long term work with clear progression on pay and benefits.
As an HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will play a key role in supporting local services by carrying out waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently. Drivers may also be required to assist with loading, so a flexible and team focused approach is essential.
Responsibilities
* Driving a HGV Class 2 Dustcart across local collection routes
* Ensuring all waste and recycling collections are completed safely and on schedule
* Assisting with loading duties when required
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous dustcart driving experience is desirable
* A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
* CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Good knowledge of Bedford and surrounding routes is an advantage
