Role Overview
We are inviting applications for a Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia to work within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The post is open to UK, EU and Non‑EU doctors.
Responsibilities
• Offer a balanced mixture of elective and emergency work.
• Work in theatre during the week, with a job plan structured around personal interests and departmental needs.
• Encourage participation in teaching and audit.
• Required to take part in the out‑of‑hours rota and support one on emergency cover, facilitating inter‑hospital transfers of level 2 and 3 patients in need of escalation of care.
• Participate in daytime and out‑of‑hours sessions within the maternity unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, with frequency discussed at interview.
Qualifications
• Full GMC registration and license to practice.
• Minimum of 4 years’ full‑time or equivalent postgraduate training, with at least 2 years’ training within Anaesthesia.
• Possession of the FRCA part 1 is desirable.
