Major Incident Manager – Watford (Hybrid, 3 Days On‑Site)

About the Role
You will take ownership of major technology incidents, coordinating technical resources and key business stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved swiftly and effectively.
The role plays a crucial part in maintaining business continuity and improving incident and problem management processes across the organisation.
This position requires three days per week working on‑site in Watford with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.
You will also join a 1‑in‑3‑week on‑call rota, which is fully remunerated.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all major incidents through to resolution
* Coordinate technical and business teams during high‑priority issues
* Provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders and senior leadership
* Develop and maintain incident and problem management frameworks
* Analyse incident trends and drive process improvements
* Work collaboratively with Change, Release, Regulatory and supplier teams
* Support business resilience processes for both technology and non‑technology events
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience managing major IT incidents in a complex environment
* Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple technical teams
* Broad technical understanding of infrastructure, hardware, and software
* Experience delivering root‑cause analysis and post‑incident improvements
* Knowledge of ITIL (Foundation or above desirable)
* Excellent communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities
* Prior leadership or team coordination experience is beneficial
