Bring your skills to the table as a Principal Electrical Engineer. You'll play a vital role in electrical engineering aspects of Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of electrical engineering across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. Opportunities are available in our Bristol, Surrey, and Derby offices (other locations may be considered).
Your Purpose
1. Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
3. Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones and programmes.
4. Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design processes.
What you can bring
* Chartered Electrical Engineer.
* Significant experience in the Water Industry.
* Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design projects.
* Strong knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX practices, creation of SLD/BCD diagrams, earthing and bonding, and familiarity with UK design standards and industry practices.
* Proficiency in digital analysis packages such as Trimble/Amtech, following local and national guidelines.
