Court of Protection NQ Solicitor

A highly regarded Legal 500 firm based in North London is seeking a Court of Protection NQ Associate to join its well-established Private Client department. This is a specialist role within the Property and Affairs area of Court of Protection work, dealing with complex and high-value estates. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, empathetic solicitor with a genuine interest in Court of Protection work. You should have a strong ability to build lasting client relationships and maintain high professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters (Property & Affairs)
* Work closely with the Deputy, the OPG, clients, and their families to ensure decisions are made in the best interests of the individual
* Prepare and manage Court applications, including Statutory Will applications
* Attend and represent the Deputy at Court of Protection hearings
* Investigate suspicions of financial abuse
* Handle estate administration matters where relevant
Requirements:
* A strong background in Court of Protection (Property & Affairs)
* Solid experience in managing files independently
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Strong communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly
* Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
