Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in the heart of Blackpool, and we’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their supportive Year 2 team from September to cover maternity leave. About the Role: This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity ideally suited to someone with recent experience supporting in KS1 or a strong desire to build experience at this level. You’ll be working alongside a dedicated class teacher, providing essential in-class support, working with small groups, and delivering targeted interventions to ensure every child makes progress. ✅ You Will: Support the learning and emotional wellbeing of pupils in Year 2 Assist with classroom management and preparation of learning resources Work with pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN Deliver interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo Be an active part of the school’s vibrant team and contribute to school life About You: Experience in a school or education setting (voluntary or paid) A passion for education and a nurturing approach to learning A team player who can also work independently A confident communicator with good literacy and numeracy skills Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Why Apply with Teaching Personnel?
