About The Role
Join our award-winning Transport team. The Fleet Driver Assessor will assess, coach, and develop commercial drivers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient driving. The role reduces fleet risk, improves driver behaviour, and supports legal and policy compliance. You will work directly with drivers, carrying out on-road assessments, coaching, and follow-up in line with company policy and UK road traffic legislation. What Wren offer:

Main Responsibilities:
10. Conduct on-road and in-vehicle assessments for all commercial drivers
11. Provide practical coaching, remedial training, and induction sessions
12. Identify unsafe behaviours and implement improvement plans
13. Support collision investigations with professional assessment input
14. Use telematics, incident data, and risk scores to target interventions
15. Maintain accurate records and produce clear, defensible reports
16. Promote a strong safety culture and consistent driving standards
17. Support compliance with Road Traffic Law, company policy, and best practice
About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge: Essential:
18. Full UK driving licence (other categories a plus)
19. Experience assessing or training commercial drivers
20. Knowledge of UK road traffic law and fleet risk
21. Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills
22. Able to work independently in a field-based role
23. Professional, consistent, and flexible, including travel and occasional overnight stays
24. Computer literate
Desirable:
25. Driver assessor/trainer qualification
26. Telematics or driver behaviour experience
27. CPC, IAM, FORS, or similar
28. Collision/near-miss investigation experience
