The Sunshine Club, an out-of-school club based on the grounds of St Vincent's Catholic Primary School, is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, committed Playworker to join our busy, thriving breakfast and after-school club.
Level 2 or above in Playwork or relevant experience with children desirable but not essential.
Term Time 39 weeks (+ 6 weeks paid holiday incorporated in the annual salary)
Working hours: 22.5 hours in total
7:30am – 9:00am AND 3:00pm – 6:00pm Monday to Friday (there is an opportunity to work in the nursery on a supply basis in between shifts if desired) Applicants MUST be able to work both the morning and afternoon shifts
Hourly rate: £13.15
Annual salary: £13,314.38
The Sunshine Club provides quality childcare for pupils from the school aged 4 to 11 years. We have a separate early years unit for the Reception children.
The role includes supervising children, engaging with the children in aspects of play and conversation, setting up and leading activities and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Experience of working with 4-11 year olds and children with Special Educational Needs is desirable but not essential. More important is an enthusiasm for engaging children in a wide range of activities.
A full induction will be provided and there will be opportunities for additional training throughout your employment.
