We are seeking a Raw Material Technologist to join our Technical Supplier Assurance team, to help ensure the ingredients and packaging we use meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This is a technically focused role that requires strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of food safety legislation and compliance. Position type: Full time, permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 Location: Kinnerton Confectionery Fakenham Site (Norfolk) Approve and maintain raw material specifications for new and existing suppliers. Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, customer codes of practice, and internal standards. Collaborate with Procurement, NPD, Intake, and Technical teams to ensure materials are fit for purpose. Coordinate supplier documentation, respond to technical queries, and support audits and non-conformance investigations. Maintain accurate data in internal systems and contribute to monthly KPI reporting. Experience in food manufacturing technical roles (e.g. specifications, supplier assurance). Working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, allergens, traceability, and food legislation. An understanding of ethical and sustainable sourcing schemes such as SEDEX, Rainforest Alliance (RFA), and RSPO, and how they apply to raw material compliance. Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. A relevant qualification in food science or a related field is beneficial, but practical experience is essential. Pension (4% Employer Contributions). Life Assurance Scheme at x4 basic salary.
