Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
Responsibilities
* Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications.
* Construct and repair walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks and mortar.
* Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
* Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing masonry materials.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
* Follow all health and safety regulations on-site to ensure personal and team safety.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential.
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels.
* Familiarity with power tools used in masonry work.
* Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
* A valid driver's licence is advantageous for transportation to various job sites.
