What's involved with this role: Temporary Gas Plumber - Multitrade Reference no: Gateshead 1000532514927478 Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour PAYE 35-37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 10-11 months City: GATESHEAD Working as a Gas Plumber undertaking various types of gas work and plumbing installation and repair work to all property types within the Council’s property portfolio and as required in line with business need. Comply with gas safety and Council standards of work performance ensuring implementation and compliance within gas policies and procedures. Undertake minor cross trade work to support the service ‘one front door approach’, be proactive in all aspects of health and safety, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver positive outcomes for customers. Experience of making routine and complex decisions using analysis, experience and expertise. Skills & Abilities: Ability to work within manufacturers requirements and Industry British Standards. Ability to diagnose and undertake a repair works to domestic properties including specifying materials required and the ability to undertake works in accordance with training and good industry practice. Able to work within known deadlines. Ability to self-manage and work with limited supervision. Ability to communicate appropriately face to face with colleagues and customers which may include elderly, vulnerable or challenging adults and to deliver excellent customer service. Post holder will expect to be clean shaven to allow the fitting of a face mask for health and safety purposes. Exceptions will be made on the grounds of religion or a certified medical condition.
