Lead Professional Support Lawyer - Employment Law
The Opportunity
A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced lawyer to lead its Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) function within the Employment, Pensions and Immigration practice.
This is a strategic leadership role within a fast-growing national team. You will shape the direction of knowledge management, drive innovation in legal delivery, and ensure technical excellence across the practice. The role would suit either an established senior PSL with leadership experience or a senior employment lawyer looking to transition into a knowledge-focused position.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading and developing a national team of PSLs, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Driving innovation in legal know-how, thought leadership, and digital content (including client briefings, articles, and campaigns).
* Designing and delivering high-quality internal and external training programmes.
* Overseeing the development and automation of precedents and knowledge systems.
* Monitoring legislative and market developments to ensure the team remains at the forefront of legal and sector trends.
* Supporting onboarding and structured know-how training for new joiners.
* Working closely with partners, innovation teams, and knowledge specialists to strengthen the firm’s national profile.
About You
* Qualified solicitor with significant experience in employment law (immigration experience desirable).
* Either an experienced senior PSL with team leadership expertise, or a senior employment lawyer ready to move into a PSL leadership role.
* Strong interest in legal innovation, digital tools, and process improvement.
* Excellent drafting skills with the ability to produce engaging, high-quality written content.
* Commercially aware with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop others.
