Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Site Engineer
Location: South East
£37,000 plus overtime, standby, shared van, annual company bonus, private healthcare, private pension, specialist tools, pension and 30 days holiday inclusive of statutory days.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter/Mechanical Site Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced external site team. We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to work alongside an Electrical Site Engineer, carrying out installations, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Attend nationwide installations and breakdowns when required, ensuring company service standards are maintained.
Service, repair, and assemble pumps and pumping systems.
Complete detailed site reports following each visit, obtaining customer signatures and submitting documentation promptly.
Maintain company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
Represent the business professionally, promoting products and services wherever possible.
Ensure the company vehicle is properly stocked, maintained, and equipped with required tools.
Observe and uphold all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Be flexible and adaptable to business needs.
Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider engineering team.
Experience
Previous experience in a similar mechanical, fitting, or maintenance role (essential).
Experience with pumps or related systems (desirable).
Based within a commutable distance of Orpington.
Understanding of the mechanical or pumping industry (desirable).
Qualifications / Training
Recognised mechanical qualification (essential).
Confined Space, First Aid, CSCS, and SSSTS training (desirable – can be provided if not already held).
