Overview
Equans is looking for a Mobile BMS Engineer to join our Digital business, covering parts of Birmingham and the surrounding areas on a full time basis. Equans Digital delivers critical Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure upgrades and enhancements across commercial, retail, healthcare, education and government sectors, helping sites become ‘Smart Enabled’ and enabling further value through IoT solutions.
Equans Digital currently delivers project works ranging from £10k to £1.5m in size, with variations via a blend of in-house delivery and specialist supply chain partners. With an aggressive growth strategy over the next 3–5 years, this role will help shape and grow the team to ensure sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
* Installing, configuring and commissioning BMS components and equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators and software systems.
* Carrying out maintenance checks on Trend, Tridium and Distech BMS systems across sites.
* Participating in a reactive call-out rota (additional financial benefit for being on call and attending).
* Providing specialist technical assistance and support to clients regarding their BMS systems.
* Identifying opportunities for improvement or remedial works to enhance BMS performance for clients.
* Preparing proposals and quoting works as required.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ Electrical. Extensive knowledge and experience of BMS / HVAC.
* Knowledge and experience with Trend, Tridium/ Niagara, Distech, Siemens.
* Excellent working knowledge of the electrical industry.
* Ability to read and interpret Electrical & Mechanical schematic diagrams.
* Understanding of IT networks.
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Controls training / experience.
* Experience with fault finding in electrical panels.
* DBS vetting and potential BPSS vetting.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
