Job Description
The Graphic Designer will play a key role in creating compelling visual content across a wide range of projects within our Strategy and Energy Consultancy team. This includes producing social media assets, client‑branded reports, infographics, 2D animations, event materials, and other creative deliverables.
Use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) to deliver high‑quality design outputs. Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team to maintain brand consistency.
Strong communication and time‑management skills are essential, as the role involves balancing multiple client needs, managing competing deadlines, and delivering work to a consistently high standard. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, a team player, and possess a keen eye for detail across design output and copy. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in a consultancy environment, contributing to projects centred on sustainability and marketing.
Responsibilities
* Produce designed content (animations, stills, videos, infographics) for clients websites, social media, and events using Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Format and design reports, briefings, and presentations to a professional standard.
* Develop innovative ideas to enhance the impact of graphics and reports.
* Edit and produce engaging video content, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Ensure all assets are designed in accordance with each clients brand guidelines while meeting budget and timescale constraints.
* Provide social media support when required, including creating and posting content.
* Assist in the creation of paid advertising and promoted posts, including development and evaluation of creative assets.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
* Maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues.
* Stay up to date with emerging design trends, tools, and techniques.
* Build strong relationships across the team, contributing to projects across heating, smart energy, energy efficiency, infrastructure, housing, and fuel poverty, and collaborate with other teams.
Qualifications
* Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Graphic design qualifications desirable.
* Experience working with SharePoint desirable.
* Competence in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word design for professional reports and event materials.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on brief and on time, proactively managing client and team expectations.
* Creative content optimisation skills.
* Professional and discreet handling of confidential information.
