This is a role as a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of care homes across the UK. Main duties of the job

The role requires a car or ready access to one, as you will be traveling across the area to cover two care homes.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. You can expect to monitor the delivery of care when on duty, contribute to the person-centred care planning process for each resident, and record observations on things like temperature and blood pressure amongst other important tasks. The role involves providing support and companionship, ensuring every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with carers, every shift.
ABOUT YOU A background in care is important, with a good understanding of elderly care. A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is essential, with a view to completing an NVQ 3. A good understanding of the wider healthcare industry is required. Ideally, you'll also have a C or above in GCSE English and Maths. You should be dedicated and compassionate, with a passion for supporting residents' wellbeing. You need your own car or ready access to one; mileage will be covered for travel over five miles from your main home. If on duty during an inspection that achieves a 'Good' rating, you'll qualify for a bonus.
