Our client is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Planning Enforcement Officer to join our high-performing Planning Enforcement team. We are looking for a professional who can hit the ground running and support the progression of more complex backlog cases.
Our service has delivered major improvements, reducing the enforcement caseload from 2,089 cases (October 2021) to 711 cases (January 2025) - a 66% reduction. The straightforward cases have largely been completed, and we now require someone confident in taking forward the more challenging investigations, including those involving interviews under caution and prosecution work.
The team comprises both experienced and junior officers, so the ability to offer occasional guidance or management support is welcome, although not essential.
