Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit Out\n\nBirmingham | £30,000 – £40,000 + Package\n\nA well-established and growing commercial fit-out contractor and consultancy based in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.\n\nSpecialising in high-quality office refurbishments and CAT A / CAT B fit-out projects, the business delivers schemes across the Midlands for blue-chip occupiers, developers and landlords. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Assistant QS to gain exposure to fast-paced commercial projects while developing under experienced senior professionals.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you will be involved in:\n\n * \n\n Cost planning and budget preparation\n\n * \n\n Measurement and take-offs from drawings\n\n * \n\n Assisting with procurement of subcontract packages\n\n * \n\n Tender analysis and comparisons\n\n * \n\n Managing variations and change control\n\n * \n\n Supporting monthly valuations and cost reports\n\n * \n\n Liaising with project managers, site teams and supply chain\n\n * \n\n Assisting with final accounts\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nYou will likely have:\n\n * \n\n A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management\n\n * \n\n Around 1–3 years’ experience in a QS or comm...
