Accounts Semi-SeniorLocation: Central HarrogateContract: PermanentSalary: Circa £25,000-28,000 DOEWorking Pattern: Full-timeA well-established and growing independent accountancy practice based in central Harrogate is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join its friendly and supportive team.This opportunity would suit someone with around 12 years experience within an accountancy practice environment who is looking to continue developing their career in a varied and hands-on role. The firm is keen to recruit someone with existing practice experience and can offer ongoing study support towards either AAT or ACA qualifications.The RoleThe successful candidate will gain exposure across a broad range of accounting and compliance work, supporting a varied portfolio of clients while continuing to build their technical skills.Key responsibilities will include:Preparing accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses and clientsAssisting with bookkeeping duties and VAT returnsSupporting audit assignments where requiredAssisting with personal and business tax workWorking closely with senior team members and managers to deliver client work accurately and efficientlyLiaising with clients to resolve queries and obtain informationSupporting the wider team with general practice and compliance workCandidate RequirementsPrevious experience working within an accountancy practice environment (ideally 12 years)Studying towards or interested in studying AAT or ACA qualificationsGood understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping processesExperience with CCH Accounts Production software would be advantageous, although not essentialStrong communication and organisational skillsGood attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and professional practice that offers genuine development opportunities, study support, and exposure to a wide range of accounting work within a collaborative team environment.TPBN1_UKTJ
