Our work covers payment and final account disputes, delay and disruption claims, defective works, termination issues, and claims involving contractors, subcontractors and professional consultants. We act across the full dispute lifecycle, including adjudication, negotiation, mediation and, where required, litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.

As our construction disputes practice continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a NQ-3PQE Construction Solicitor to strengthen our already busy and well‑established team, Dispute Resolution team of 24. These roles are part of a considered expansion, aimed at maintaining the quality of our work while adding further depth and capability to a dynamic and evolving practice.
What this role offers
* This role is suited to a solicitor who has gained exposure to contentious construction work, or is looking to develop that focus further within a commercially minded disputes team.
* You will advise on construction disputes arising out of JCT and similar contracts, helping clients navigate issues such as payment claims (interim and final), defective works, delay and disruption, and termination. The work involves acting across the full dispute lifecycle, including adjudication, mediation and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, with a clear emphasis on achieving commercially sensible outcomes rather than pursuing process for its own sake.
* Alongside formal proceedings, you will provide strategic, real‑time advice to clients dealing with issues on live projects—helping to manage risk, strengthen positions and create leverage where disputes are unavoidable. The team works closely with clients and across the wider disputes practice, offering a collaborative environment where you can deepen your contentious construction experience, build confidence in handling complex matters, and develop towards a more senior role over time.
Who We Are Looking For
* We are keen to speak with solicitor who are building, or looking to build, a career in contentious construction within a commercially focused disputes team.
* You will likely have experience (or good exposure) to disputes arising from construction contracts, including JCT, and matters involving defective works, payment claims, delay and disruption, and liquidated damages. Experience of adjudication, mediation or High Court / Technology and Construction Court proceedings is helpful, but not essential—an interest in developing in this area and a willingness to engage with complex disputes is equally important.
* We are looking for individuals who communicate clearly, manage their workload effectively, and take a practical, client‑focused approach to problem‑solving. You should be comfortable working as part of a collaborative team and motivated to deepen your experience in contentious construction, with the long‑term aim of progressing into a more senior role.
