About The Role
Our Children’s residential home is looking for Life Practitioners to join our team at Clann Dion, in Rand near Lincoln.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Practitioner to support individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs, helping them live fulfilling independent lives by assisting with daily activities and accompanying them on community trips.
We provide a company vehicle which can be used to transport the people we support to activities such as shopping, meals, appointments, and outings. To drive the company vehicle you must have held a full UK driver’s licence or have been driving in the UK for 2 years or more.
Starting rates are £12.71 (Level 1), £13.10 (Level 2) and £13.60 (Level 3). You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through our competency framework, unlocking pathways to increased hourly rates.
Responsibilities
* Support residents with daily activities and practical needs.
* Accompany residents on trips and community visits.
* Assist with personal care and medication administration as required.
* Offer encouragement, direction, support, and advocacy.
* Follow the standard operating procedures for care and safety.
Qualifications & Experience
* A genuine passion for caring and motivation to contribute to the progress of others.
* A strong team player.
* Resilient and confident in asking for support as needed.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
