Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of accountants? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Accountancy Lecturer to join our Adult Skills team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching across our Accountancy programmes, helping learners achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
We are looking for someone to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to curriculum development. Whether you're an experienced lecturer or a qualified accountant looking to move into education, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a Fixed Term role up to 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A relevant Accountancy qualification at Level 3 or above
* Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
* Relevant industry experience in accountancy
* Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across Accountancy programmes
* Develop curriculum materials and assess student work effectively
* Monitor attendance, behaviour, and progress, providing tailored support
* Embed Maths, English, and Digital Skills into lessons
* Support recruitment and enrolment activities, including open days and events
* Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement
* Maintain accurate records and support learners with SMART targets
* Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development
