Are you an early years or education professional looking to inspire the next generation of childcare practitioners and teachers? We are seeking a dedicated Assessor to join our Education and Early Years team, working with learners and apprentices studying a range of qualifications from Level 2 to Level 5. In this rewarding role, you'll assess students both in college and in their workplace settings, observing their practice in nurseries, schools, and early years settings across the local area. You'll provide constructive feedback, track progress, and support learners in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours essential for successful careers working with children and young people. The ideal candidate will have a relevant early years or education qualification, sector experience, and an assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one). You'll need excellent communication skills, a commitment to safeguarding, and the ability to build positive relationships with learners, employers, and placement providers. This role offers variety, professional development opportunities, and the satisfaction of seeing students grow into confident, capable practitioners who will make a real difference in children's lives.
Want to make a career change and move into teaching?
We are committed to supporting your professional development and recognise that not all candidates may currently hold an assessor qualification. If you have the relevant sector experience but don't yet have your assessor award, we will fully support you in working towards an appropriate assessor. This support includes funding for the qualification, allocated time for study and coursework, and mentoring from experienced assessors within our team to help you develop your assessment practice and build confidence in the role whilst you complete your qualification.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.
