Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with both hand and power tools to create high-quality metal components. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure that all products meet the required standards.
Responsibilities
* Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
* Fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and quality of finish.
* Conduct assembly tasks as required, following detailed instructions and technical drawings.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
* Carry out routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding, specifically TIG and Stick welding techniques.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex technical drawings.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
* Experience with sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
