Accounts Semi Senior
Location: Liverpool
Salary: 30-35k per annum
Role
We are supporting a well-established accountancy practice with the hire of an Accounts Semi Senior. This is a hands‑on role supporting a varied portfolio of clients, with clear scope to build your technical skills and progress within the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients (typically sole traders, partnerships and limited companies)
* Produce management accounts and basic reporting where required
* Assist with bookkeeping and VAT returns
* Support with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns (depending on experience)
* Liaise with clients to request information and resolve queries in a professional, timely way
* Work closely with seniors and managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
Qualifications
* Experience preparing accounts within a UK accountancy practice environment
* AAT qualified or part-qualified (or studying towards AAT/ACCA/ACA)
* Comfortable working with multiple deadlines and a varied workload
* Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions‑focused approach
* Confident communicator with a client‑service mindset
* Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar software is helpful (not essential)
