The Role
CFA is looking to appoint permanent Project Officers and/or Senior Project Officers to our Milton Keynes office, beginning as soon as the successful candidates are available. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of British archaeology and the planning process with experience of team leadership, fieldwork, recording and report production. You will possess the skills to ensure your work matches all relevant Project Designs, Briefs, and Specifications and complete schedules within resource allocations and timescales. You will also be effective at maintaining good relations with colleagues, clients and their agents, curatorial authorities and visitors. We also look to employ the right technology for the job and invest in technical solutions wherever possible. Staff are provided with access to professional development and skills training, including external HR and Occupational Health Support where necessary. Responsibilities
* Demonstrate understanding of British archaeology and the planning process with experience of team leadership, fieldwork, recording and report production.
* Ensure work aligns with Project Designs, Briefs, and Specifications and complete schedules within resource allocations and timescales.
* Maintain good relations with colleagues, clients and their agents, curatorial authorities and visitors.
* Utilise appropriate technology and participate in technical solutions.
* Contribute to maintaining safety and quality standards across projects.
Requirements
* Relevant degree level education or practical experience in the UK (or equivalent overseas) desirable.
* Flexible approach to deployment and willingness to travel and work away.
* Proven supervisorial and leadership experience.
* Membership of CIfA preferred and a current CSCS Card desirable.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Reliable and motivated with good organisational skills.
* Appreciation of inclusivity, diversity and dignity and respect in the workplace.
* Full manual driving licence essential.
* Microsoft Office skills.
