Job Title: Senior Research Grants Officer
We are seeking a Senior Research Grants Officer to join the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN). In this role, you will support researchers with their external research funding applications and manage awarded projects within our busy research grants team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing application criteria and assisting with costing and pricing using X5, the University's software.
2. Advising on non-scientific matters to ensure compliance with university and funder requirements.
3. Supporting Principal Investigators in managing awarded projects, monitoring progress from inception to closure of a portfolio exceeding £100M.
4. Using reports from Oracle and X5, along with discussions with researchers and administrative staff, to ensure effective and compliant project management.
5. Serving as a primary contact for queries from research staff, attending meetings, and escalating issues as needed.
Training will be provided to support your success in this role. Candidates should have:
* Education at degree level or equivalent relevant work experience.
* Desirable: a degree in a relevant scientific area and experience in academic or general administration within Higher Education or a related environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position with potential for hybrid working. The role is graded at Grade 6, but less experienced candidates may be considered at Grade 5 with appropriate adjustments.
