Aldershot Garrison Pre-School Settings Ltd is a registered charity providing high-quality early years education and care across three pre-school settings. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the smooth running and future development of our charity.
About the Role
As Business Administrator, you will provide essential operational, financial, and administrative support to ensure the effective management of our three settings. This is an office-based role working closely with the senior leadership team, helping us maintain high standards of compliance, governance, and financial stability, enabling our staff to focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll management, including liaising with managers, preparing the monthly payroll including statutory requirements.
* Manage the sales invoicing system (eyMan), including issuing invoices, allocating payments, debt collection, and liaison with parents.
* Assist with other financial processes, including funding & credit card reconciliations, providing reports to company accountant, overseeing purchase ordering with setting managers,
* Provide HR support such as recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining of staff records (e.g. DBS applications and training requirements, oversight of contracts).
* Manage contracts for phones, IT equipment, and other suppliers.
* Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and oversee the management of our website.
* Oversee compliance and prepare for external audits, ensuring all paperwork and records are up to date.
* Support effective communication between leadership, staff, parents, and external partners.
* Contribute to strategic planning and development of the charity.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has proven experience in business management, administration, or finance, ideally within education, childcare, or the charity sector.
* Ability to work independently and well as part of a team.
* Is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing multiple priorities.
* Has strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, experience supporting staff with IT queries, and knowledge of eyman or similar
* Brings experience of contract management, payroll, parent invoicing, debt collection, credit card reconciliations.
* Can provide support and guidance to parents professionally and sensitively.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a collaborative, supportive approach.
* Understands (or is willing to learn about) the requirements of working within an early years and charity environment.
What We Offer
* 25-30 hours per week, office based (to be worked between the hours of 9am and 3pm)
* £17-18 per hour (£22, £28,080.00 per annum)
