We’re supporting a values-led children’s charity to recruit apliance &ernance Manager into a newly created role.
This organisation does genuinely meaningful work, supporting young people, and they’re looking for someone who can help ensure theirernance, risk andpliance approach is as strong as the services they deliver.This is a brilliant opportunity to shape howpliance is embedded across an organisation, rather than just maintaining what’s already there.
The Role You’ll take the lead on all thingspliance,ernance and risk, working closely with senior leaders to build a proactive, preventative approach across the charity.This isn’t just about policies – it’s about embedding a culture of accountability, awareness and doing the right thing.
You’ll be the go-to for:
1. Data protection and breach response
2. Risk identification and mitigation
3. Supporting teams with clear, practical guidance
What You’ll Be Doing
4. Embedding a joined-uppliance andernance approach across the organisation
5. Supporting teams to understand risk and prevent issues before they arise
6. Leading on data protection, including breaches, SARs and GDPRpliance
7. Driving standards and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
8. Supporting business continuity and organisational resilience
9. Overseeingplaints processes and continuous improvement
10. Building strong relationships internally and acting as a trusted advisor
What They’re Looking For
11. Experience inpliance,ernance or data protection
12. Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR
13. Experience managing or supporting data breaches and investigations
14. Understanding of risk, controls and assurance frameworks
15. Exposure to standards such as ISO / information security frameworks
16. Ability to influence, guide and support non-specialists
Ideally, you’ll also bring:
17. A relevant qualification ( CIPP/E, GDPR Practitioner)
18. Experience in a charity or public sector environment
