About the Team
As a Chef, you’ll be at the heart of our hospitality service creating delicious, nutritious meals that brighten the day for our residents and visitors. Your food won’t just nourish; it will make people feel cared for and valued.
About the Role
Based in Twerton, Bath, you’ll prepare and serve mid-day meals for residents of our extra care service at Avondown House and visitors to our day services. You’ll also have the chance to share your culinary skills with a variety of community groups no two days are the same!
This is more than a job it’s a chance to make a real difference.
* Permanent role
* 21 hours per week
Two-week fixed rota, including weekends and bank holidays (because great care and great food never take a day off).
Want flexibility? You can also join our Bank team, picking up extra hours that fit around your life.
As our services grow, so can your role. There may be opportunities to increase your contracted hours or take on new responsibilities. If you’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
* Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate
* A team-player mindset
* Strong communication skills
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Experience in catering environments
* Willingness to support a range of services and partners
Desirable:
* Understanding of dietary needs for older adults
