Main Responsibilities Leadership & Operational Delivery Provide visible, compassionate leadership to multidisciplinary teams. Oversee daily operations and future planning to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality service delivery. Drive continuous improvement and innovation using data, feedback, and emerging needs. Lead the development and implementation of change initiatives to keep services responsive and sustainable. Act as a key decision‑maker for complex operational issues and escalation points. Review incidents to support organisational learning and positive change. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Build strong, productive relationships with internal and external partners. Represent the organisation at cross‑sector meetings, networks, and collaborative forums. Promote a culture of openness, inclusion, and partnership across all teams and organisations involved. Quality & Governance Support the delivery and monitoring of quality assurance, compliance, and risk management frameworks. Lead or support investigations, audits, and thematic reviews in line with NHS Patient Safety frameworks and organisational policies. Ensure effective systems are in place to gather, analyse, and act on feedback from service users and stakeholders. Maintain high standards for safe, effective, and responsive service provision. People Management Lead recruitment, development, and performance management processes, delegating responsibilities appropriately. Support professional development, succession planning, and workforce planning. Ensure regular supervision, appraisals, and team engagement activities take place. Encourage a culture of wellbeing, accountability, and high performance. Develop action plans using staff survey results to enhance wellbeing across services. Partner with service leads to develop new roles and optimise skill mix to improve efficiency. Finance & Performance Manage service budgets, ensuring cost‑effective use of resources and compliance with financial policies. Support delivery of performance targets and contribute to strategic reporting. Use data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and guide decision‑making. Create and deliver recovery plans where performance or financial issues arise. Essential Criteria Proven operational leadership in a complex, multi‑disciplinary setting. Strong financial, analytical, and performance management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience delivering change and service improvement programmes. Ability to work across services and contribute to integrated service models. Recent managerial experience within community services. Health or social care leadership experience. Ability to work autonomously, remain self‑motivated, and show initiative. Evidence of ongoing professional development. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing clinical and non‑clinical teams. Experience implementing policies, procedures, and strategic change. Ability to write complex reports and analyse data to support decision‑making. Comfortable interpreting complex information and managing resource decisions. Confident using IT systems and digital tools. Experience in performance management, customer engagement, and complaint handling. Able to identify gaps in processes and support teams in delivering solutions. Proven ability to deliver robust governance structures that support safe, high‑quality care. Ability to build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders. Willing and able to participate in a 24/7 on‑call rota. UK Driving Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle. Degree‑level education or equivalent experience/knowledge. Desirable Criteria Experience supporting CQC assurance. Knowledge of systems thinking, service design, or quality improvement methods. Evidence of inspiring a shared purpose and delivering a vision. Experience conducting clinical or colleague investigations. Experience in business development. Understanding of community health, social care, ambulatory care, or case management. Leadership or management training. Master’s‑level qualification (or working towards). V300 prescribing qualification. Advanced clinical assessment skills.
