Working within the Speech & Language Therapy (Adults) Team
We’re recruiting a highly organised General Secretary to join our client’s Adult Speech & Language Therapy team in Downpatrick. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative and typing skills who enjoys working in a healthcare environment.
Key Duties Include:
1. Word processing & audio typing letters and reports
2. Managing incoming mail & responding appropriately
3. Handling general enquiries (phone & email)
4. Maintaining staff diaries & scheduling appointments
5. Minute taking at meetings
6. Arranging and preparing for meetings
7. Sorting, processing, and organising information
8. Preparing basic statistical information
9. Responding to information requests
10. Filing, photocopying, and faxing (as required)
Essential Criteria:
To be considered, you must have:
✔ OCR Level II Text Processing (or equivalent)
AND
✔ Four GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English, plus 1 year’s secretarial/clerical experience
OR
✔ Two years’ secretarial/clerical experience
PLUS
✔ Audio typing qualification or 6 months’ audio‑typing experience
