Here at Kingston College, we are seeking a Sessional Lecturer to join our Early Years and Education section. The role involves assessing and monitoring learners studying from Level 1 through to T-Level, including delivery of EYFS, National Curriculum, and beyond, in license to practice qualifications.
The courses are predominantly coursework-based; therefore, we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. You’ll lead the development of programmes within the section and act as the main point of contact for employers and students, providing feedback on progress as required.
We’d like our Sessional Lecturer to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in Early Years and/or Education (including National Curriculum and/or Key Stage 1) and have industry experience in a relevant area, specifically Early Years and National Curriculum. With energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject and education, you’ll hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), possess excellent teaching skills, and have experience teaching higher education courses.
You should be able to support, motivate, and empathise with young learners, monitor their progress, and be aware of academic quality standards. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives, with a creative approach to problem-solving, you’ll be hardworking, flexible, and hold high personal standards and expectations.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary resulting from the annual cost of living review, which will be implemented in the new academic year.
Closing date for the return of completed applications is 27th June 2025.
We offer an excellent pension scheme with a significant employer contribution (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities, professional development and training, and a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package is pro-rated for part-time staff.
