About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organised Compliance Administrator to support the Housing Maintenance team for an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring statutory housing compliance and assisting with essential administrative tasks across a wide range of safety and regulatory areas.
You’ll be joining a fast-paced environment, working closely with the Gas and Electrical Manager to maintain high standards of tenant safety, meet legal obligations, and ensure accurate records across multiple housing compliance domains.

Key Responsibilities:
Track and Monitor Compliance Checks, including:
Gas safety
Electrical testing
Fire safety inspections
Legionella control
Lifts and HVAC systems
Fire suppression systems
Support the Gas and Electrical Manager in ensuring statutory obligations are met across the Council's housing stock.
Maintain Accurate Records using internal systems such as Locata, ensuring:
All resident communications are logged
Compliance activities and tenant interactions are accurately recorded
Evidence trails are clear and up to date for audit and inspection purposes
Assist in Delivery of Awaab’s Law Compliance, by:
Effectively communicating priority repairs to residents
Supporting assessments using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
Identify Vulnerable Tenants and ensure appropriate referrals or support services are engaged to assist in sustaining tenancies.
Co-ordinate Communication between residents, staff, and contractors to support seamless service delivery.
Utilise IT systems effectively, including:
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Planner)
Housing and asset management software (e.g., Locata)
Ensure deadlines are met and administrative support is proactive and responsive to the needs of the housing maintenance team.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Proven administrative experience, ideally within housing, compliance, or property maintenance
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload independently
Confident communicator with the ability to engage with residents, contractors, and internal teams
Attention to detail with a methodical approach to data and record keeping
Competent IT user with experience in Microsoft 365 and/or housing compliance software
Understanding of the importance of statutory compliance and tenant safety
Desirable:
Experience in social housing or public sector environment
Knowledge of housing regulations, Awaab’s Law, or HHSRS principles
Familiarity with Locata or similar housing systems
