Role
As Schools Content Producer, you will be part of the Schools and Communities team developing and delivering high quality learning opportunities across sites, off-site and online.
Using your expertise in engaging young people in schools and the arts/heritage sector, you will work closely with the Schools Content Manager: Palace Programmes and the Schools Content team to devise, deliver and manage imaginative programmes and projects. These will be designed to be inclusive and meet the needs and interests of schools and young people. In order to do this, you will need to take an audience-focused approach in developing distinctive content that delights, surprises and engages participants. Your work will produce high quality outputs for schools and continue to enhance HRP’s reputation as a sector leader for learning.

What we’re looking for
You will bring substantial experience in developing and delivering high quality content for schools within an educational, cultural, or heritage setting—clearly demonstrating experience beyond classroom teaching. You will have a strong understanding of how schools operate, particularly at primary level, alongside a solid grounding in learning theory and the National Curriculum.
You will have proven project management skills, including experience of planning, running and evaluating projects for schools beyond a school setting, managing multiple stakeholders, and working confidently with budgets of up to £100K. You will be adept at generating ideas, problem solving, and delivering complex programmes on time and on budget.
You will bring significant experience of working with a diversity of young people and a demonstrable passion for inclusive histories and representing diverse perspectives in the content you create. You will also have a strong understanding of the culture and heritage sector and effective strategies for engaging schools within it, using innovative and audience-focused approaches that surprise and inspire learners.
Ideally, you will have experience of delivering professional development for teachers and working with a broad range of schools. You will be an effective communicator and relationship builder, confident in advocating for our work and inspiring external partners, schools and community organisations. Highly organised and collaborative, you will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, setting clear objectives and evaluating impact. You’ll also be IT literate and a competent user of Word, Excel and Outlook.
