General Manager – Pub

Responsibilities
* Overall management of the pub in line with company procedures and adhering to brand standards
* Lead by example with a hands‑on approach to training, coaching and development of the team
* Engage with the local community to improve repeat business and strengthen the pub’s reputation
* Inspire a passion for delivering great food and a service culture throughout the team
* Overall responsibility for health and safety of guests, team and visitors through constant administration of fire procedures, kitchen and health & safety assessments
* Ensure standards comply with the license as the DPS
* Oversee ordering to meet requirements while controlling stock and wastage levels
* Prepare team rosters at least two weeks in advance, aligned with labour budgets
* Drive the team to achieve the highest levels of guest service at all times
* Foster effective teamwork in line with the company vision and direction
* Deliver exceptionally high‑standard service in a passionate, proactive and reliable manner
* Work up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Requirements
* Previous experience as a General Manager of a gastro‑style pub (minimum 1 year) or a proven track record in different pub/restaurant styles
* Financial understanding, experience with P&L’s, sales and labour budgeting
* Strong leadership and motivational skills to build an effective team
* Right to work in the UK
