We’re looking for an organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to support all areas of the finance function and ensure departmental deadlines are met. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant and Group Finance Director, you’ll assist with sales and purchase ledger processing, bank and payment reconciliations, stock checks, supplier returns, and support year-end audit preparation. You’ll work closely with customer services, credit control, buying, and sales teams, helping to maintain accurate financial records and resolve queries promptly. We’re seeking someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, solid IT proficiency, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A motivated self-starter with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and high-quality information will thrive in this role. Key Responsibilities: Sales ledger Assist with day to day payment entry. Ensure customer ledgers are up to date and accurate Work with the credit control department with ad hoc duties including supporting customer query resolutions Assist with production of credits and invoices in a timely manner Purchase Ledger Assist in the processing of invoices onto ERP system Upkeep of cost analysis spreadsheets relating to Exhibitions Update and maintain service agreement tracker Assist with the adhoc ordering online portals ensuring approval and sign off process has been carried out Reconciliations Produce accurate reconciliations across multiple income streams – Sagepay/Checkout/PayPal/ Amazon – this will require daily monitoring and working alongside customer services to ensure refunds and credits are processed in a timely manner. Retail shop reconciliations Process and monitor supplier returns Monitoring aged purchase orders alongside the buying department Assist with year-end audit. Maintain and monitor direct dispatch orders. Offer assistance and support to the sales department. Ad hoc duties as and when they arise Stock Monitor all stock with zero values and update with correct details if required.
