Role: Project Manager - New Build Housing at TieTalent (contract with Nottingham City Council).
Contract Type: 2-year fixed-term contract/secondment opportunity
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Worker Type: Hybrid worker, typically in the office, minimum 2 days per week
Salary: Grade I starting £46,142 rising to £49,282 per annum
Location: Harvey Road, Bilborough, Nottingham, NG8 3BB
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced New Build Housing Project Manager to oversee delivery of new build housing and refurbishment projects for Nottingham City Council. Responsibilities include viability studies, coordinating internal teams and external consultants, budgeting, and ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet standards. Act as client representative adhering to NCC procedures and external funding requirements; ensure site selection for development/regeneration across Nottingham.
Responsibilities
* Lead projects from inception to final account, ensuring compliance with NCC procedures and funding requirements.
* Undertake viability studies, coordinate internal teams and external consultants.
* Set and manage budgets; establish project objectives; manage project risks and CDM responsibilities.
* Assist in site selection and development/regeneration across Nottingham.
About You
You will be a confident, organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in delivering residential construction or housing development projects. You will combine technical acumen with leadership to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
* Proven experience managing housing development or construction projects from inception to completion.
* Strong knowledge of housing development processes, feasibility assessments, option appraisals and budgeting.
* Experience of preparing scheme risk management strategies and maintaining dynamic risk registers.
* Clear understanding of CDM regulations and ability to act as the client under those regulations.
* Experience in local authority/public sector frameworks (desirable).
* Relevant qualification/degree or proven experience in construction, project management, or housing development.
