The Education Network is recruiting a passion‑driven SEND Support Assistant to work on a supply basis in a specialist SEN school in Bingley. This role offers flexible hours for individuals committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH and complex learning difficulties.
* Assist teachers with the delivery of tailored learning programmes and support plans.
* Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviour.
* Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
* Support pupils in both academic and social development.
Qualifications
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in school or alternative provision).
* Patient, understanding and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
* Positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* (Desirable) Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
