We are currently in a close partnership with a Multi-Academy Trust in East Sussex, looking for Teaching Assistants for their SEN schools.
Working with young people can be rewarding but challenging, requiring patience, adaptability, and a can-do attitude.
The role of the SEND Teaching & Support Assistant is to support young people with identified Special Educational Needs or disabilities. You will help remove barriers to accessing the curriculum, engaging in learning, and reaching their full potential.
Experience working with young people is beneficial, but we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in supporting those with additional needs or care work.

About the School

Role Responsibilities
* Build and maintain successful relationships with young people
* Support individual or groups of students in various learning environments
* Mentor and role-model positively
* Assist with physical, personal care, or medical needs to promote independence
* Implement educational programmes tailored to young people's needs
* Deliver activities to small groups
* Record observations on behaviour and progress
* Experience with behaviour that challenges
We are interested in candidates with experience in settings such as youth offending services, emergency services, residential care, youth services, creative industries, sports coaching, or graduates in Drama, Psychology, or Sports Studies.

Requirements
* DBS certificate with a live subscription or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional references within the last three years
* Commitment to safeguarding young people
