About The Post
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed professional social worker to join our Integrated Front Door Service (IFD). The Integrated Front Door provides an integrated pathway for all concerns about child safety or welfare. We are a co-located service with partners from the Police, Health, Education, Domestic Abuse Services, Targeted Early Help and Probation.
As a Social Worker in the IFD, you will respond to contacts/referrals from multi-agency partners and members of the public, gather information, analyse risk, and identify levels of need to inform decisions in relation to next steps. You will work alongside multi-agency colleagues to inform decisions proportionately, engage families in safety planning and work within a strengths-based approach.
You should be an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner, clear about thresholds for intervention, able to work at pace to ensure timely decision making, and comfortable working within a performance management framework that supports good outcomes for children.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professionally qualified social worker with experience in child protection and welfare.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures and thresholds for intervention.
* Ability to work in a multi-agency environment and engage families within a strengths-based approach.
* Excellent risk assessment, decision-making and communication skills.
