Role: Childcare Trainer / Assessor - Apprenticeships & Work-Based Learning

Salary: 27,500 - 30,000 + excellent benefits
Eden Brown are seeking an enthusiastic Childcare Trainer / Assessor for a leading national training provider in South Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for developing others to deliver high-quality training and assessment to the next generation of Early Years professionals.
This is a full time permanent role, it is home based but with travel around South Yorkshire area.
The Role
As a Childcare Trainer, you'll be guiding learners through their career journey, helping them build the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to thrive in the Early Years sector. You'll manage a caseload of learners, delivering tailored support through:
- Engaging workshops, workplace visits and one-to-one coaching
- Delivering and assessing a range of childcare qualifications, including Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeships
- Supporting learners from initial assessment and induction through to achievement and End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- Embedding key themes such as safeguarding, British Values, equality and diversity into every stage of the learning journey
- Working in partnership with employers to review progress, agree training plans and ensure apprentices are supported every step of the way
- This is more than just teaching, its about inspiring learners, building their confidence and preparing them for long-term success in a rewarding career.
Requirements
- A Level 3 teaching qualification (or be working towards Level 4)
- TAQA/Assessor qualification (Level 3) or willingness to complete
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- English & Maths at Level 2 (or willingness to achieve)
- At least 2 years' experience delivering apprenticeships or work-based learning in childcare
- Experience preparing learners for assessments, including EPA
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to inspire and motivate others
