Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for leading process engineering and production support for a product line. This role provides technical leadership for process improvement, design, documentation, and implementation of assembly and test methods, as well as equipment operation.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
* Resolve production process issues through problem-solving techniques, analyzing root causes, and implementing solutions.
* Deliver long-term, impactful projects on time and within budget.
* Act as Product Champion for specific products or lines, leading process engineering and support activities, and providing technical leadership for continuous improvement and manufacturability enhancements.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
* Establish Manufacturing Quality Plans, including process flow, layout, equipment, and line balancing.
* Create process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, and reports.
* Research technology, equipment, and tooling to improve quality, yield, or cost; generate proposals with ROI and benefit analysis.
* Design test and assembly equipment, fixtures, and tools; perform validation activities.
* Assist in introducing new products into manufacturing, collaborating with R&D and suppliers.
* Supervise personnel as assigned and lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required:
* B.S. in Engineering with at least 12 years of experience or M.S. with at least 8 years of experience.
* Experience in manufacturing support for instrumentation and/or disposables preferred.
* Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
