Are you a skilled and motivated teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We are working with an inclusive and supportive school in Wakefield that is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons to a small group of pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. Your role will involve adapting your teaching methods to support pupils in accessing the curriculum, building their confidence, and helping them to achieve their individual goals.
Working closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals, you'll help to create a positive and structured learning environment that encourages progress and independence.
We are looking for SEN teachers who are committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning. Whether through small group work or 1:1 support, your role will be key in re-engaging learners and building their educational confidence. At Teaching Personnel, our mission is to improve the quality of education for vulnerable pupils, and you’ll be supported by our experienced team of SEND specialists throughout your placement.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Has experience supporting pupils with SEND in a classroom setting
* Can adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning needs
* Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Is confident in working with and contributing to EHCPs and learning plans
