About the RoleWe have an excellent opportunity for a Construction Lawyer with a minimum of 1 year post-qualified experience to join us as a Contracts Manager.The Contracts Manager is responsible for reviewing appointment documents and negotiating amendments for Members of the Wren Insurance Association Limited. You will be joining a large team of solicitors and legal executives. Together you will assist Wren’s Members to be appointed on terms falling within their cover and handle any resulting negotiations.Your Responsibilities Reviewing Members’ appointments and other related documentation and advising them of the coverage positionProposing amendments where necessary to those documents to bring them within coverNegotiating amendments with the Member’s client and/or the client’s advisers (if required)Participating in meetings with Members to explain coverage issuesDelivery of presentations to Members on coverage issuesAbout You Knowledge/ExperienceNon-contentious construction experience from a law firm or an in-house legal teamFamiliar with professional indemnity matters relating to construction professionalsQualifications/EducationLegally qualified with a minimum of 1-year PQE (UK or QLTT is desirable)CompetenciesAttention to detail - committed to exactness and precision in task completion; thorough and consistent in following up at the detail levelNegotiating and influencing – the ability to influence and persuade people at all levels and to negotiate to ensure the best outcome possibleProblem solving – able to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities and then develop and implement effective solutionsTeam player - enjoy working collaboratively with a team of lawyers, risk managers and underwritersAbout UsTindall Riley manages three insurance businesses.
