Simply Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school in Surrey (Effingham) seeking a Primary Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher to teach a Year 7 class working at a Key Stage 2 curriculum level within a supportive specialist setting for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school follows a nurturing, structured approach, providing a smooth transition into secondary education using a primary model.
About the Role
The successful Primary Teacher will:
Teach a small Year 7 class following a KS2 curriculum pathway
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASC and SEND
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and a multi-disciplinary team
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and other statutory processes
Create a structured, safe and positive learning environment
This role would suit a dedicated Primary Teacher who thrives in a nurturing environment and is confident adapting learning to meet individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Primary Teacher who:
Holds QTS (essential)
Has strong Key Stage 2 teaching experience
Has experience supporting pupils with ASC and/or SEND (specialist or mainstream)
Demonstrates excellent behaviour management with a calm, non-confrontational approach
Is passionate about inclusive education
