Hays is in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ Sixth Form College located in Leicester. They are seeking apassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH difficulties.
Your role:
5. Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
6. Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored interventions.
7. Use creativity, patience, and empathy to help students build confidence and independence.
8. Foster positive relationships and help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed:
9. Experience working with children and/or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH, ASD, and ADHD (in an educational setting)
10. Resilience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse needs.
11. Able to use initiative and be proactive
12. Strong at building trust and relationships with young people
13. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
