Job Title: Nuclear Safety Case Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.
Salary: £60,000+ depending on experience (awaiting HR approval)
What you’ll be doing:
* Overseeing and authoring nuclear substantiation documentation to support the site safety case
* Reviewing calculations and analysis work
* Supporting periodic safety reviews
* Taking ownership of deliverables with a high level of autonomy
* Supporting implementation of substantiation requirements
* Collaborating with Human Factors, Site Safety Case, and Engineering Authority Teams
* Supporting development of Nuclear Substantiation team members
* Working with the wider business on nuclear substantiation activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience in Nuclear Safety or Safety Case Analysis
* Experience in nuclear, high hazard, or highly regulated industries
* Ability to produce high-quality technical reports
* Strong drive to deliver activities through due process
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
* Understanding of multiple engineering disciplines
* Chartered Engineer status from the Engineering Council
* Degree in a STEM subject
